So, I left for a Girl Scout camping trip on Friday and got back a little while ago. It was the most drama-free and fun camping trip we've ever had, probably because the one girl who thinks everyone likes her but no one actually does left our troop. (Yes!) We all told each other our lives would be better if she just left, and we were gosh dang right.
It was me, E, MT, W, MR, and J, then the leader (my mom) and the wife of this youth leader at my church, S. We camped in teepees which were so. Pooping. Amazing. They were very tall if you looked up from the inside. There were stinkbug exoskeletons and ladybugs flying in to finish the carcasses off, and apparently there once a Flying Bug of Death (wasp), but other than that we didn't have bug issues at all. Well, we got freaked out from bees outside. (And those are my second worst fear, after wasps.) However, we did encounter animals. Hehe.
On Friday night, in the amazing teepee, we were sitting around, being cool like that, listening to weird animals noises outside. It sounded like a dog. You could also hear squeaking noises, which I thought to be puppies. E and I went outside and shone a flashlight under the teepee, where everyone swore the sounds were coming from. There was nothing on that side of the teepee. Yet...(Later we decided the sounds must have been coming from the other side.)
On Saturday we started seeing a dog around. She frequently came from the trees and walked through our little unit, then back to the trees again. You could tell she was a mother dog that had been nursing. Well, later that day, MT ran into the teepee where me and someone else were sitting, and told us that they were coming from under the teepee.
If you got on the ground and peered under the teepee, you would see the mother dog and her five puppies all nursing. You can also see them through some of the cracks in the floorboards form inside the teepee. The mama dog's name is 'Pikachu', and all the puppies are temporarily 'Pika'...Although now that I'm thinking more clearly about Pokemon, that should have been 'Pichu'. Oh well.
Meanwhile, MT taught me how to finger-knit. I spent like two hours making one long string and decided to make it a leash. Not for Pikachu, but for E. E's legally blind, and lately I've been talking about getting her a leash and leading her around. She tried it and seemed to like it. ;D ;DXD
Well, MT turned me into a monster. I started knitting hair scrunchies/bracelets, and I made a tiny little sweater that I put on one of my cats' toy mice. I should probably go to the doctor for my chronic knitting disorder, or CKD. Or maybe I could pick up a prescription at Walgreen's.
-BRB, going to Walgreen's to get my CKD medication.
P.S.- 'BRB' means 'Bring ribs, Bertha!'
